My daily reading lately consists only of a short quote from Don Miguel Ruiz’s book “The Four Agreements.” The agreements are: Don’t Take Anything Personally, Be Impeccable with Your Word, Always Do Your Best, and Don’t Make Assumptions.
One that has had me deep in contemplation and reflection:
“All the sadness and drama you have lived in your life was rooted in making assumptions and taking things personally. The whole world of control between humans is based on that. Take a moment and consider this.”
