It’s baaack…..the third annual Hawai`i Book and Music Festival (HBMF) will be held May 17-18 on the Honolulu Hale grounds. This free celebration will feature 175 events and 450 international, national and local authors, musicians, poets, playwrights, illustrators, storytellers, songwriters, chefs, crafters, and other performers over the two day weekend.

Look out for the Keiki Festival (complete with jumper), Starbucks and other food and refreshments, Hawai`i publishers, and books for sale by Barnes & Noble.

The full schedule is posted on the HBMF web site, and will also be published the day before the event in a special 24-page four-color HBMF tabloid inserted in the Honolulu Advertiser’s Friday May 16 TGIF section.

The Festival runs 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days. Admission is FREE, and there is plentiful nearby FREE parking.

The first HBMF drew some 10,000 attendees. The second, 20,000. 25-30,000 are anticipated for this year’s festival. I look forward to seeing you there!

Mahalo!
