Join in on tonight’s roasting of Bamboo Ridge founding editors Eric Chock and Darrell Lum, 7pm at Manoa Valley Theatre, and help this valiant local publishing house continue to showcase local writers (myself included, so I admit I’m a bit biased) and stories.
Tonight’s roast is also a fundraiser to jump start BR’s 30th anniversary year, and will feature writer/roasters including Lois-Ann Yamanaka, Lee Cataluna, John Heckathorn, Nora Okja Keller, Cathy Song, and Cedric Yamanaka.
It’s free to 2008 Bamboo Ridge members, and a $30 donation for all others–for which you will also immediately become a member.Look out for the launch of the latest edition of the Bamboo Ridge literary journal on April 30, with signings and author readings.
